Biographical Notes
Shenton, John, Area General Manager, No. 3 Area (Rhondda), South-Western Division. National Coal Board since August, 1950. In 1914, was appointed a Surveyor under Powell Duffryn Ltd., and later, became Manager in the Rhymney District, In 1947, was appointed Sub-Area General Manager in Area 6 (Monmouthshire), and in February, 1948, he became Area Production Manager, Area 1 (Swansea).
