Biographical NotesSealy, Dr. E. H., M.Sc. Director of Statistics, National Coal Board, since February, 1958. Born in New Zealand in 1913 and educated at Auckland Grammar School and Auckland University. Became a lecturer at the School of Mines and Engineering, Otago University and in 1938 conducted a statistical research project at Edinburgh University. From 1940 to 1944, was with the Ministry of Supply Statistical Advisory Service in the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and in 1943, studied American statistical methods in the munitions industry in the United States. Since 1945 joined Urwick, Orr and Partners, becoming a senior partner in 1949. Address: Hobart House, Grosvenor Place, London, S.W.1.
