Biographical Notes
Sales, T. J., Marketing Director, North-Western Division, National Coal Board since January, 1950. From 1916-1946, worked with the Whitwick Colliery Co., and became General Manager from 1944. Was a Member of the District Wages Board, Chairman of the Leicestershire Welfare Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Leicestershire Coal Sales Association, from 1936-1946. On Nationalisation, was appointed Marketing Manager of the Leicestershire and South Derbyshire Area of the National Coal Board's East Midlands Division. Not related to the Industrial Relations Member, Mr. W. H. Sales. Address: 40, Portland Street, Manchester, I.
