Ratcliffe-Ellis, Major A. Educated at Rugby and Oxford. Secretary Lancashire & Cheshire Coal Association. Succeeded his father, the late Sir Thomas R. Ratcliffe-Ellis, to this post in April, 1925. Secretary, Lancashire & Cheshire Coal Owners' Defence Association, Lancashire & Cheshire Coal Owners' Rescue Station, Lancashire & Cheshire District (Coal Mines) Scheme, 1930, and of the Colliery Guardian Co.
