Biographical Notes
Nicholls, G., M.I.Min.E. Area General Manager, No. 5 Area, North-Western Division, National Coal Board since January, 1947. Born in 1905, educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham, and took a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Mining at Birmingham University. From 1937-1948, was Agent and Manager with Manchester Collieries Ltd. Member of the Council of the National Association of Colliery Managers and this year, is President of the Manchester Geological and Mining Society, and President of the North Wales Branch of N.A.C.M.
