Biographical Notes
Marley, Brigadier C. D., D.S.O., M.B.E. Marketing Director, Durham Division, National Coal Board. In 1946, became Marketing Director to the Northern Division, having previously been Director-General of the North German Coal Control. Was a partner in the firm of Messrs. Feetham and Grieveson, Coal Factors, before being appointed a Member of the Durham Sales Control Organisation in September, 1936. After the war, returned for a short time to the Durham Sales Control Organisation, before going to Germany as head of the Fuel, Power and Public Utilities Division of the British Element of the Control Commission.
