Biographical NotesLeek, Ivan G. E., O.B.E., B.Sc., A.M.I.Mech.E. Chief Mechanisation Officer, National Coal Board since June, 1950. Won the Kitchener National Memorial and J. E. Wright Scholarship to the University of Birmingham. In 1936, was Technical Assistant to the Mining Association of Great Britain, In 1946, was appointed H.M. Senior Inspector of Mines, Yorkshire Division, and also Rescue Apparatus Testing Officer for Great Britain and in 1948, was H.M. District Inspector of Mines in charge of Nottinghamshire District, North Midland Division.
