Biographical Notes

King, H. R., Production Director, Scottish Divisional Board. Prior to vesting date, was in charge of the Eastern group of collieries of the Fife Coal Company, Limited. Has a wide experience of all aspects of mining and modern reconstruction work, and has paid numerous visits to U.S.A., Germany. France and Holland and also to English coal-fields. A Member of Council of the Institution of Mining Engineers, Vice-President of the Mining Institute of Scotland and Vice-President of the Scottish Branch of the National Association of Colliery Managers. Also a Member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers and author of numerous technical papers.
