Biographical Notes
Haigh, J. R. Chief Engineer, Lofthouse Colliery Ltd. Trained as engineer at Pope & Pearsons' West Riding & Silkstone Collieries, Normanton. Ten years Station Engineer to the Sheffield Corporation Electricity Works. Eight years Superintendent at the Stamford and Grantham Electricity Works (Edmonson's Electricity Corporation). Has held present position at Lofthouse Colliery 22 years. Member of the Mining Electrical Engineers' Association, and Vice-President of Yorkshire Branch. Address: Grange View, Outwood, Wakefield.
