Hann, Edmund Lawrence. Born 1881. Son of the late Mr. E. M. Hann. Educated at Haileybury College. Now Managing Director and Chairman of the Powell Duffryn Steam Coal Co. Ltd., the Rhymney Iron Co. Ltd., and Great Western Colliery Co. Ltd.; and is a Director of the Taff Merthyr Steam Coal Co. Ltd. Member of Council of the Institution of Mining Engineers, and is a Vice-President and Member of the Council of the South Wales Institute of Engineers. Was awarded, in 1925, the Gold Medal of the South Wales Institute of Engineers for a paper entitled "A Modern Colliery Power Plant." Private Address: "Lanelay," Pontyclun, Glam.
