Biographical Notes
Graham, L., Appointed Chairman, Northern (N. & C.) Division, National Coal Board in March, 1955. Born in 1898, and on leaving school, joined the firm of John Bowes and Partners Ltd., and in 1940, became the firm's General Manager. Held that position until nationalisation when appointed Secretary of the National Coal Board's Northern Division. In January. 1950, became Marketing Director of the Northern (N. & C.) Division, and in July 1950 until present appointment. was Deputy Chairman of that Board.

Biographical Notes
Graham, L., C.B.E., J.P. Chairman, Northern (N. & C.) Division, National Coal Board since March, 1955. Born in 1898, and on leaving school, joined the firm of John Bowes and Partners, Ltd., and in 1940, became the firm's General Manager. Held that position until nationalisation when appointed Secretary of the National Coal Board's Northern Division. In January, 1950, became Marketing Director of the Northern (N. & C.) Division, and in July, 1950, until present appointment was Deputy Chairman of that Board.
