Biographical Notes
Glossop, F. G., Production Director, North-Western Division, National Coal Board since May, 1948. Took a degree in mining engineering at Sheffield University, In 1928, was appointed Manager of Langwith Colliery, of the Sheepbridge Coal and Iron Co., and in 1932, joined the Amalgamated Denaby Collieries whom he served as colliery Manager, Mining Agent, Planning Engineer and General Manager. On nationalisation, was appointed General Manager of the St. Helens Area, North-Western Division.
