Graham, J. Ivon, M.A. (Cantab), M.Sc. (Lond.), F.R.C.Sc.L, M.I.Min. E., F.I.C. Deputy Director of the British Colliery Owners' Mining Research Laboratory, University of Birmingham (Director, Prof. J. S. Haldane, C.H., F.R.S., etc,) Co-opted member of Council of the Institution of Mining Engineers. Engaged in, and supervising, researches directly connected with mining, e.g., spontaneous combustion, vitiation and analysis of mine air, mine temperatures, silicosis, underground illumination, and the utilisation of coal. Also supervising researches for Committee on Control of Temperature in Hot and Deep Mines and other work relating to health and safety problems. Private Address: Rathlin, Barnt Green, nr. Birmingham.

Director of the British Colliery Owner's Mining Research Laboratory, Royal School of Mines, South Kensington S.W.7 (Phone: Kensington 9896). Co-opted member of Council of the Institution of Mining Engineers. Personally engaged in, or supervising researches directly connected with mining, including those for Committee on Control of Temperature in Hot and Deep Mines and other work relating to health and safety problems, viz.: spontaneous combustion vitiation and analysis of mine air, gas evolution, mine temperatures silicosis, and the suppression of dust in mines. Supervising, or personally engaged in researches connected with coal-mining ; at the present time chiefly concerned with the suppression of dust in mines (work which is being carried out jointly for the Safety in Mines Research Board and for the British Colliery Owners' Research Association).
