Ellis, Sir Charles, F.R.S. Born 11th August, 1895. Educated at Harrow, Royal Military Academy, Trinity College, Cambridge. Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge 1921-1936. Wheatstone Professor of Physics, King's College, London, 1936-1946. Member, National Coal Board (Scientific). Since 1943 to present appointment was Scientific Adviser to the Army Council.
