Ltd., 1898-1908; Manager, Langwith Colliery, Mansfield, 1908-1918; Agent and Manager, Blackwell Collieries, 1923; Agent and Manager, Glass Houghton Collieries, 1923-1924; Director and General Manager of the Glass Houghton and Castleford Collieries Ltd., 1924 to 1929. Also Director and General Manager of Pontefract Collieries Ltd. Address: "Weetworth," Glass Houghton.

Director of Pontefract Collieries Ltd., 1928-1937. General Manager of The Carlton Main Colliery Co. Ltd.; Director, The Hodroyd Coal Co. Ltd., The Hatfield Main Colliery Co. Ltd., The Carlton Collieries Association, and Timber and Wood (Hull) Ltd., 1937. Justice of the Peace, West Riding of Yorkshire, 1937. Address: Bretton Lodge, near Wakefield.

The Hatfield Main Colliery Co., Ltd. The Carlton Collieries Association and Timber and Wood (Hull), Ltd., 1937. Resigned, 1942, from Carlton Main. Appointed Chairman of Glass Houghton and Pontefract Companies, 1942. Also Technical Officer to the Sooth Yorkshire Coal Owners' Association. Justice of the Peace, West Riding of Yorkshire, 1937.
