·  Mrs J E Rowan

I am John Davies' great grand-daughter via his elder son Richard (who is not shown on the 1881 Census because he was on his way to or from New Zealand at the time). I am researching my family tree but cannot get further back because (a) John Davies is such a common name and (b)I do not know the maiden name of John's wife, Mary. All I do know is that they came from the Wrexham area to Durham when my great-grandfather found work there. Any information will be most welcome. Thank you. Joan
