Honorary Professor of Mining, Birmingham University; Technical Adviser, Government Nigeria; President of the Institution of Mining Engineers 1922; member of the Advisory Council to the Privy Council for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and member of Safety in Mines Research Board of the Board of Trade. Technical Adviser Anglo-Persian Oil Company, Limited. Chairman of the Inter-Allied War Petroleum Council. Late adviser in Petroleum and Coal to His Majesty's Government. Son of James C. Cadman, M.I.C.E., Manager Silverdale Collieries, North Staffordshire, 1900; Assistant Agent Walter Scott, Limited, Durham, 1901; H.M. Inspector of Mines, East Scotland, 1902; Stafford District, 1903; Government mining engineer, Trinidad, 1904; appointed to conduct special research for Royal Commission on Mines, 1907-8; a member of the Royal Commission which reported upon the oilfields of Persia.

Late President of the Institution of Mining Engineers, 1922; resigned third term of office, October 2nd, 1924 ; member of the Advisory Council to the Privy Council for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and late member of Safety in Mines Research Board of the Board of Trade. Chairman and Technical Director, Anglo-Persian Oil Co., Limited, and Iraq Petroleum Co. Director of Suez Canal Company and Great Western Railway. Member of the Economic Advisory Council and of Committee of Enquiry into the Post Office. Late Chairman of the Inter-Allied War Petroleum Council. Late Adviser in Petroleum and Coal to His Majesty's Government. One of the British delegates at the Paris Peace Conference. Son of James C. Cadman, M.I.C.E., manager of Silverdale Collieries, North Staffordshire, 1900; Assistant Agent, Walter Scott, Limited, Durham 1901; H.M. Inspector of Mines, East Scotland, 1902; Stafford District, 1903; Government Mining Engineer, Trinidad, 1904 ; appointed to conduct special research for Royal Commission on Mines, 1907-8; member of the Royal Commission which reported upon the oilfields of Persia, 1913.
