Baird, D. E., Deputy Chairman of the Durham Divisional Coal Board. Educated at Cambridge and Glasgow Universities. Deputy Production Director of the Northern Division of the Coal Board until January, 1950 and became Carbonisation Director of the Durham Division until recent appointment.
