Aberconway of Bodnant, in the Co. Denbigh, 1st Baron; Charles Benjamin Bright McLaren; actively interested in steel, shipbuilding and colliery undertakings; Chairman Tredegar Iron and Coal Company and John Brown and Company; Director of Sheepbridge Coal and Iron Company, and other colliery companies in the Midlands; born Edinburgh May 12, 1850; Proprietor of the Croft Granite Quarries in Leicestershire; owner of considerable estates in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Carnarvonshire, including the seaside water-place of Prestatyn. Educated Edinburgh University (M.A.); Fergusson Scholar, Hamilton Scholar; Universities, Bonn, Heidelberg.

P. for Stafford and for Leicestershire; actively interested in steel, shipbuilding and colliery undertakings; Chairman, Tredegar Iron and Coal Company and John Brown & Company Ltd.; Chairman of Sheepbridge Coal and Iron Company and other colliery companies in the Midlands; Chairman. Metropolitan Railway Co.; born Edinburgh, May 12th, 1850; Proprietor of the Croft Granite Quarries in Leicestershire; owner of considerable estates in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Carnarvonshire, including the seaside water-place of Prestatyn.
