In the years 1813 and 1814 two boreholes were put down out of the Elizabeth Pit, Maudlin Seam, in search of the Hutton Seam, one to the depth of 14 fms. 3 ft. 10 in., and the other 27 fms. 2 ft. 10 in., both without success.    0  0     473  4
