Easter, Thomas, aged 63, Waggonwayman, he was accidentally killed while working on the incline. His duty was to couple his horse to empty trucks at the foot of the incline to draw them to the sidings. It was stated at the inquest that he was in the habit of coupling his horse as the trucks were still moving down the bank. He was seen to fall and may have tripped over the rails or stumbled against his horse

Edgar, David, aged 32, Labourer, he made no mention to any one of an accident but complained to a fellow workman on the way home of a pain in his bowels. He died the following day. No inquest was held and the doctor certified that death was due to inflammation of the bowels caused by strain at his work

Ellis, George Edward Ferguson, aged 17, Pony Driver, died from internal injuries caused through being accidentally crushed between a tub and the side timber (Inquest: 02 Jul 1918)
26 Sep 1900 Norwood, Clay quarry
Evans, David, aged 34, Craneman, Deceased who was in charge of a travelling crane, apparently lost control over it, with the result that it overshot the stop block and fell bodily into the quarry, carrying him with it. [Inspection made & inquest attended]
20 Jul 1803 Unknown
Ewart, Adam, aged 63, Waggonman, of Twizell, shown in Parish records as being accidentally killed - may not be Colliery related
