William Henning was burnt following the firing of a shot on 10th February and died from pneumonia in hospital 18 days later.
He had taken refuge about 12 or 15 yards away and fired a shot three yards up a 'lift.' After the shot went off there was a second report and fire came through a 'breaker' and burned him. His face and hands were singed. He refused to be taken home on a stretcher, preferring to walk. A verdict of "Accidental death" was returned.
