An engine used for drawing coal on the railway blew up, killing two people. The boiler was split into pieces, and portions were thrown to a considerable distance. The building was completely destroyed, and unfortunately the engine-man, Stephen Hann, a young man only twenty-two years of age, and a little boy who was not connected with the works named Barber, to whom he was much attached, were killed.
