Whitehaven CollieryMiscellaneous Notes and IncidentsAn unsuccessful attempt had been made to fire a gelignite shot by means of an electric battery. The deceased afterwards returned to the shot, and from the nature of his injuries, there is little doubt that he was unramming the charge when it exploded (Gelignite.)
