A miner had drilled, charged, and stemmed a hole, and then absentmindedly lighted it without intending to do so, as he started to put some stone into a tub which was nearly full, when the powder shot exploded; some of the stones hit and slightly injured his head and shoulders. A miner lit up a powder shot which he thought missed, and he then went back to the hole, when he noticed a light at it, he tried to run back, but the shot exploded almost immediately and part of the stone from it hit him about the legs and face.
