Eston (Ironstone)Miscellaneous Notes and IncidentsA miner, by a gunpowder shot blowing through into his working place from another place was slightly injured on the shoulder. A miner was charging a hole, and when putting three pellets of gunpowder into it, they were caught by the flame of his candle, and he was slightly burnt about his hand. A miner had seven pellets of gunpowder in a hole, and was putting the pricker in, when they exploded, and burnt him about face, chest, and arms.
