| | | | | | | Gill, Daniel, 03 Dec 1896, aged 45, Miner, Accident due to the man's own carelessness. He was holing through an old vertical rise, and had blown out the timber, which was covered by a quantity of loose stones. He then proceeded by another road to the top of the rise, and finding the stones had not fallen through, he foolishly stood upon them, and endeavoured, unfortunately with too much success, to push them through by stamping with his foot. The immediate result was that the stones gave way, and he fell with them, a distance of 28 feet [Inspection made] |
