Bradley, Edward Harrison, 18 Dec 1900, aged 14, Greaser, He was employed as a greaser on an endless rope haulage plane, when by some means he was caught by a full set and dragged over 200 yards. There was no empty set within 500 yards at the time, and the speed of the rope was under three miles an hour. [Inspection made]

Gill, Edward, 11 Oct 1898, (accident: 18 Sep 1898), aged 39, Stoneman, This accident occurred in a stone drift. Deceased and his marrow were about to start work, when the overman, who had accompanied them, told Gill to examine the roof. As he was doing so, a stone fell from a "slip," and so severely injured Gill that he died on October 11th. A shot had been fired by the men in the previous shift, which possibly may have loosened the stone [Inspection made & inquest attended]

      

Gill, Edward, 10 Jul 1900, (accident: 09 Jul 1900), Hewer, alleged that he had been injured by a tub when at work; the jury returned a verdict in accordance with medical evidence, resulting from a post mortem examination "that he died from syncope, but weather accelerated by shock caused by an accident they were unable to say"
