Anderson, Thomas, 26 Jun 1871, Labourer, caught by fly wheel of pumping engine

      

Beal, James, 19 Dec 1876, (accident: 15 Dec 1876), aged 22, Deputy, explosion of gunpowder

      

Brown, John, 12 May 1884, aged 38, Weighman, struck on head by horse

      

Crawford, John, 1899, Shifter, He had been suffering from lung disease for some time, died suddenly in the pit, through the rupture of a blood vessel. The evidence tended to show that death was due to natural causes [fatality reported during the year but not classified as a colliery accident]

      

Drysdale, Robert, 08 May 1882, aged 52, Hewer, fall of band stone

      

Gibson, James, 22 Nov 1882, aged 35, Shifter, killed by a fall of stone from roof

      

Hogg, George, 07 Oct 1891, 9:10 a.m., 3rd hour of shift, aged 58, Heap Keeper, he was lowering some empty waggons from under the screen to a new pit, and by some means was crushed [Inspection made]

      

Kirkup, Robert, 13 May 1876, (accident: 05 May 1876), aged 25, Waggon Trimmer, crushed by a truck

      

McGeary, Thomas Reuben Gibson, 24 Aug 1910, aged 18, Putter, killed by a fall of stone

     

Patterson, Robert, 30 Sep 1870, aged 15, Pony Putter, crushed between tubs and prop

      

Spowait, George Jr., 05 Nov 1898, aged 23, Hewer, He was engaged filling coals from a shot in the bottom part of the seam. without taking the precaution of setting timber, when a large piece of the intervening band stone fell. There was plenty of loose timber close at hand [Inspection made & inquest attended]
