Dodd, George, 28 Dec 1892, 8:00 a.m., 2nd hour of shift, aged 49, Shaftman, Deceased and another man went down the shaft to do some repairs, in the course of which the former got off the fixed scaffold on to a plank lower down, when it broke and he fell to the bottom, He had no right to go on the plank, and could have done his work as easily on the fixed scaffold [Inquest attended]

      

Henderson, Edward, 12 Feb 1896, aged 38, Miner, The men were preparing to fire, when a mass of stone and ore, weighing several tons, fell and caught deceased. The place had been officially inspected during the shift, but neither the manager nor the men appear to have apprehended any danger. The working place, measuring from the loose stuff on which the men were standing, was not more than 6 ft. or 7 ft. high [Inspection made & inquest attended]

      

Huckness, John, 10 Apr 1880, aged 53, Miner, failed to get away from a shot being fired in a place approaching and holing into deceased's places
