Agar, Joseph (jr.), 27 Mar 1903, aged 21, Rapperman, He was sent to temporarily attend to a rapper on the engine plane. He left the station before being relieved, and by some means, was caught and killed by the set. [More information ...]

      

Barkla, John, 20 Nov 1877, (accident: 15 Nov 1877), aged 29, Miner, injury to back by fall of stone from the roof while filling a tub

      

Bowen, John, 06 Jan 1874, aged 22, Miner, killed by a fall of roof

      

Chapman, William, 02 Dec 1906, aged 19, Backbye Deputy, When cutting a hole for a baulk, a piece of shale from the roof above fell on to his head and killed him.

      

Dowson, J. H., 17 Jan 1905, aged 62, Electric Pump Attendant, He was oiling a small electric engine when the ends of a muffler he was wearing got caught in some cogged wheels and drew him down until his head was injured. Stark, John, 11 Apr 1876, aged 49, Platelayer, broken leg and other injuries, by getting in before engine run

      

Watson, James, 02 Feb 1876, aged 40, Deputy, large prop fell on his head while drawing a chock

      

White, Matthew, 04 Apr 1877, (accident: 26 Mar 1877), aged 57, Platelayer, leg broken and other injuries by fall of side stone while removing some plates

      

Whittaker, James, 22 Dec 1899, aged 53, Deputy, Right leg fractured below knee, thigh dislocated, and bruised about the body by being run over by empty tubs. He was coming out of his district as the tubs were going in, but thinking they were going straight on he did not get out of the way.

      

Wilson, George, 02 Mar 1878, aged 24, Miner, got on set of waggons on surface, contrary to rule, and fell off and was run over ; repeated warnings had been given not to ride on waggons

      

Wilson, John, 19 Dec 1876, aged 24, Miner, fall of ironstone from face of place while baring it down
