Davison, George, 29 Oct 1889, aged 33, Hewer, caught by runaway tubs on an incline

      

Hedley, Andrew, 10 Sep 1894, 7:30 a.m., 1st hour of shift, aged 17, Putter, Burnt by gas. The deputy found some fire-damp in the place, but neglected to fence it off. He sent the hewer into another place, but did not see the deceased, who went in to ascertain if there was a full tub ready, when the gas ignited at his naked light [Inspection made] [More information ...]
