Comthwaite, William, 28 Jul 1891, 1:00 a.m., 3rd hour of shift, aged 22, Sinker, the "tophand" not having the "bogie" properly over the shaft, the kibble on being detached from the rope, fell down the pit striking deceased [Inspection made & inquest attended]

      

Dunston, William, 23 Sep 1879, aged 20, Miner, skull fractured by loose pipe while ascending shaft

      

Fearon, Henry, 07 Feb 1882, aged 26, Miner, knocked down lower portion of shaft by cage while crossing shaft at an upper eye

      

Jones, Isaac, 05 Oct 1886, aged 45, Miner, crushed by descending cage; the deceased was engaged driving a rock drift, and was returning to a shot which had missed fire ; he had to cross the shaft foot, instead of doing so by the travelling way, he crossed the bottom of the shaft, when the descending cage caught him, and crushed him to death

      

Roberts, Joseph, 29 Oct 1886, aged 27, Miner, fell down a rise; the deceased and his partner were engaged driving a vertical rise, they were shifting their stage plank previous to firing, when the deceased, on reaching for a plank, fell down the rise, and was so injured that he died
