Cross, Francis, 31 Dec 1886, aged 16, Hooker On, fall of stone from roof ; while engaged coupling two bogeys together, a stone fell from the roof and struck him on the head, inflicting injuries from which he died in half and hour

      

Jackson, George Walker, 03 Mar 1905, aged 22, Miner, A nearly vertical vein of ore 18 inches wide in slate rock was being worked, and in order to make a roadway 18 inches of the country rock was removed on the left or hanging cheek in which a hole had been drilled and was charged and nearly stemmed when a mass of stone which it was intended to shoot down between the drill hole and the hanging cheek, measuring 5 feet by 1½ feet by 1½ feet, fell away without any warning from a concealed parting at the top and a visible parting at the side, and caught deceased. The place had been visited by an official during the shift and he thought it was safe

      

Lancaster, William, 05 Mar 1899, (accident: 21 Feb 1899), aged 45, Miner, This accident occurred in a soft ore working about five feet high. The place was apparently well timbered but a sudden weightening or settling displaced some of the wood, and Lancaster was caught by a falling head tree. Injuries considered slight at first, but he died on the 5th March [Inspection made & inquest attended]

     

Molloy, Mick, 22 Apr 1881, aged 52, Miner, killed by a fall of roof

      

Parsley, William, 13 Nov 1899, aged 15, Locomotive Fire Boy, The youth incautiously leaned out of the brake van, and his head came in contact with a hurry or shoot, erected in the pit siding [Inspection made & inquest attended]

      

Stevenson, Thomas, 20 Jun 1887, aged 18, Trailer, bogey running amain on incline striking deceased
