Allsopp, William, 02 Sep 1924, (accident: 16 Jan 1924), aged 16, Rope Lad, killed by a fall of coal

     

Cudlip, William Henry, 22 Aug 1915, (accident: 11 Aug 1915), aged 33, He was injured while working in the Fourth West Flat of the Main Coal seam on 11th August; his leg was broken and his back injured. The stone which struck him measured 4 feet by 3 feet and was 16 inches thick. He died from his injuries at Newcastle Infirmary on 22nd August.

     

Hendry, Archibald, 23 Dec 1920, aged 48, died from injuries received, Buried: St. George's Churchyard, South Moor

      

Horton, Thomas, 03 Jul 1903, aged 59, Stone Teemer, died from syncope while following his employment

      

Irving, J. G., 06 Mar 1939, (accident: 10 Feb 1939), aged 32, Hewer, killed by a fall of stone

Pattison, Robert, 25 Sep 1913, aged 59, Hewer, deceased was taking off side in a wall, between an old bord and a going bord only 6 feet apart, when a piece of stone, 6 feet long, 4 feet 6 inches wide, and 10 inches thick, fell from between slips on to him; the place was not timbered according to the rule in force; the stratum of stone that fell was down in the old bord, and a prop should have been set in the opening, Buried: St. Andrew's Churchyard, Stanley
