Deceased was engaged on the extraction of a pillar of coal, or, as it is termed in Cumberland a "robbery" working. The place was examined by officials in accordance with the Act, and there was loose timber near, but there appeared to be some delay in making use of it. |

They were probably hurrying to be before other men for an empty tub, and just before he was caught deceased had asked his mate to come faster |
