Miller, Lisle, 24 Dec 1895, (accident: 20 Nov 1895, 10:00 a.m., 3rd hour of shift), aged 32, Labourer, he was engaged taking off "bearing," I.e. removing the surface soil from the top of the rock, and had five or six years experience at this class of work; there was plenty of room at the point where he was working, but he seems to have inadvertently stepped too near the edge of the quarry, and he fell over, a distance of 24 feet | ||||||
