Mr. Atlee Sends Message

The Prime Minister to-day sent a telegram expressing sympathy with the families of victims of the Easington Colliery disaster.

The telegram, sent to Mr. Sam Watson, General Secretary of Durham Area of the N.U.M. reads:

"On this sad say in the history of the Durham miners my thoughts are with you and I share your sorrow.

"Will you please convey my very sincere sympathy to the families of those who have lost their lives."
