Montagu View Colliery Inquiry

The Secretary for Mines announces that he has appointed Mr. H. P. MacMillan, K.C., as Commissioner, and Mr. Henry Walker, Chief Inspector of Mines, as Technical Assessor, to inquire into the causes and circumstances of the inrush of water which occurred at the Montagu View Colliery on March 30. The inquiry will open at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 20, in the Old Assembly Rooms, Westgate-road, Newcastle-on-Tyne.
