The Snaefell Mining Disaster

The Lieutenant-Governor of the Isle of Man, Lord Henniker, has been forwarded two medals of the Honourable Order of St. John of Jerusalem for presentation to Captain Kewley, manager of the Snaefell mine, and Mr. G. H. Williams, one of her Majesty's inspectors of Metalliferous mines, in recognition of their self sacrificing exertion and distinguished bravery upon the occasion of the Snaefell mining disaster in May last.
