The Colliery Disaster In Durham

The bodies of two more victims of the Brancepeth colliery explosion were found yesterday morning. The total number of bodies now brought to bank is nine, so that there remain 11 still in the pit. The burial of a number of the bodies took place yesterday, and others will follow to-day. The exploring operations continue. The Jet seam has been thoroughly penetrated, and it was here that the two bodies were found yesterday. The density of the fire-damp is a great obstacle in the way of the exploring parties.
